Tropic Like It's Hot Oak Island is in the quieter Western end of the island.  The house is oceanfront and has steps from the deck directly to the beach.  The house was previously named The Pirate Haus.  We purchased this home on July 31, 2020 to have a place for our children to grow up enjoying each summer and to be a family destination for others.

Booking

For bookings during the summer please keep a little quirk in mind when booking.  The calendar only shows Saturday as available, but when you click it will then let you select the next Saturday to book through.  I continue to try to improve on what the best settings are. One example is I have changed the default booking settings on the site for damage policy to have a $300 credit card hold that is automatically released the day after departure. This will reduce cost for everyone. If you would prefer not to do to the deposit and include the damage insurance I can email you a quote. If you would still like to purchase damage insurance you can do so directly through the provider on our insurance tab. I discount of 2% if you pay with check or electronic transfer instead of credit card just email the dates you are interested in.
